It's like American Idol meets Venture Capital. The show is both entertaining and educational.
How the Show Works
There are 5 successful business people. Millionaires & Billionaires, and they want to invest to make even more money. So entrepreneurs go on the show, and offer themselves up to these vultures.
So they either hate the idea, and chew out the hopeful entrepreneur, or they love it, and they fight amongst themselves to get a piece of the pie.
I watched in amazement as founders literally give up 55%+ of their business is one fell swoop. Giving up control of their business, a business that they nurtured and grew. All for an infusion of cash flow.
A couple of the entrepreneurs took it as an opportunity to work with people who have done it before. So they didn't mind giving up control of their company to do so.
Recommendation
I highly recommend the show to any future successful business people, you can learn a lot. Some of the business ideas you'll go "Oh my gosh, what are these people thinking, investing their life savings and then some on an idea that's fundamentally flawed." Other times you'll go, "Wow, good idea, why didn't I think of that?"
But either case you'll learn a lot from these millionaires and billionaires.
